Domain Names and Domain Name Contacts

What is a domain name?

A domain name is an internet address to a web site in alphabetic form.
They must be unique, i.e. there cannot be two nethere.com's.
Domain names must have at least 2 parts: the part on the left which names the organization, and the part on the right which identifies the top-level domain, such as the country (fr for France, uk for United Kingdom) or the type of organization (com for commercial; edu for educational, etc.).
A domain name can consist or more than 2 parts if there is a need to further distinguish the organization, such as mail.nethere.net or ns1.nethere.net.
Each domain name has a registrant and an administrative, technical and billing contact for the domain.
Each domain name is associated with at least two domain name system (DNS) servers that are authoritative for the domain.

These are the name servers that are authoritive for the domain.  When a visitor to your web site types in the domain name address into the web browser, they are given information for the location of your web site by these name servers.  In order for NetHere to host your domain name, the name servers will need to be directed to our nethere name servers.
